TITEL
DISCARDED WORLDS
STORY
With a black void of a Shanghai film studio as a canvas, photographer Michael Haegele collaborated with chinese setbuilders, who used materials available on set to transform discarded worlds into new ones. The ethos of "build it, shoot it, and destroy it again" is manifested as the men stand proudly before the raw state of their craftmanship. We, the viewers, are left to imagine what the cardboard box suspended on the wall will eventually become when the final touches are made.
